I’m a total beginner and on Day 3 my left hand stayed solid while my right hand riffed. For the first time, both hands worked together—no train-wrecks. I’m actually smiling when I practice.
I learned more control in 5 days than in a month of copying licks. The bassline-first method is the missing piece. What a difference.
I’d stalled trying to learn flashy riffs. This challenge got me practicing the right way and the progress came back fast. Motivated to continue with boogie.
I’ve dabbled for years but never “got it.” Jonah’s step-by-step made the entrance to boogie so clear and simple. Start right and the rest is easier.
By Day 4 I could keep the bassline steady and place simple right-hand figures on top. Two-hand coordination doesn’t come instantly, but when it clicks it’s incredibly satisfying.
Short lessons, focused reps, and backing tracks. 10–15 minutes felt doable, and the groove stuck. I’m playing a clean 12-bar now.
